hey i have a Nissan almera with the built in cd player. I put a cd in yesterday and it played grand etc until i went to eject it, it wont come out it just makes a clicking noise. i can still listen to the cd but it just wont eject. i tryed to take it out with a tweezers that dident work and i tryed wedgeing a cd under it to take it out that way and that dident work ( got them ideas off a website ) just looking for help for 2 things.

    1) can i take the built in cd player myself and take the cd out? there is no screws or anything so it mite just pull out if i stick a knife either side etc did anybody ever take one out before?

    2) there is a holder under the cd player is it possible to fit in a different cd player in there?

You could just get another almera unit if all else fails

safesounds said thay could take out the built in cd player and replace it with a sony cd player i already have and all i will lose is the controls for the cd player on the steering wheel and the screen that tells u what song u have on or radio station u have on etc ( the sony cd player will hav all that info obviously ;) ) everything else heater, time etc will still work on the sreen.

€80 does that sound about right?

forgot to add he could fix the built in cd unit for €180 but he said himself that the sony cd player is 10 times better since it has a usb port etc.

€80 including the stereo, facia adaptor and fitting?

Doesn't sound right, sounds too cheap.

no the stereo is mine i had it from my last car.

he dident say anything about adaptors just that he had to do a bit of cutting around the trim to slot it in.
