Love Frimpong, he's like it ain't no biggie being beside Henry. Glad to see Henry though. Even if he's there just to train.

Is Frim wearing a sport bra over his training top?

Bring him in anyway as a coach and promote him when Rice finally retires.

Yeah I remember there was pre-season training pics up on this thread before and everyone was baffled by Eboue wearing a sports bra :pac:

The family reason being that THE ARSENAL are calling him home!!

Would fcuking love Tony back at the club.

But in any case I hope it was just an issue over his family settling and nothing serious

They aren't bras. They are the harness that the mini-parachutes are attached to I think. It seems like an add time of year for them to be doing that training though.

Taking a second look it says GPSPORTS which to me would indicate its some sort of tracking thing to monitor their training.

your right quazzie :) from what i hear it gives you a lot of information. It tells you not just how far the players are running and how fast they are running and what levels of intense activity they have in training.

We know that, we've been over this in this forum before. Bras are funnier.

Seems to be on the players recently back from injury, might have something to do with that. Wait was frimpong injured? He must prefer the bra usage then.

I think all the players wear them in training. Most of them underneath their clothes though.

GPS tracker with built in accelerometer I think. Allows coaches to track distance, speed, impact forces and a bunch of other fitness related stats. Basically allows coaches and medical to get instant feedback on their fitness regime, so rather than wait for a player to become noticeably wilted they can act on even the smallest drop in energy levels (assuming they have their stats right of course).

Like the defence, rest of the team seems pretty standard now which means they should be 'gelled'.

It could be just a toss up between him and the Coq.

Martin with three clearances off the line in the first 25 minutes. Is it going to be another one of those days?

Arsene Wenger has suggested that this could be his last season at Arsenal.

Wenger, 62, who has two years of his contract left to run, told L'Equipe magazine that he will review his position at the end of the season.

"What is hard is the feeling something is finishing. For me, we're now talking short term, it's obvious," he said.

"But whether it's with me or someone else, it changes nothing. My successor needs foundations on which he can be successful," added the Arsenal manager.

The Frenchman has been in charge of the Gunners since 1996, leading them to three Premier League titles and four FA Cup wins but he has not won a trophy since 2005.

In September, owner Stan Kroenke insisted Wenger's future as Arsenal boss was in his own hands, and that only he could decide when to end his stay there.

When asked whether he would still be in charge at the club next season, former Monaco coach Wenger replied: "We'll look at things at the end of this one."

The Arsenal boss also admitted that losing star players Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona and Samir Nasri to Manchester City in the summer was particularly difficult for him.

"For the first time I lost young players, who were reaching maturity. I suffered. It's painful to lose key men you have invested a lot in," he said.

"[Bad results] broke the squad. I often call it 'the season of the last minute'," he said when asked about Arsenal's poor finish to the 2010-11 campaign, which saw the Gunners finish fourth in the Premier League.

Wenger hopes his side can continue their recent improvement and finish 2011 on a high note.

"We'll see in December where we can finish," he said. "It was necessary to reconstruct the squad in a climate where we were lacking confidence. It takes time."

How many games has van Persie played in total 2011?

if Wenger does leave at the end of the season, who would you like to see as manager?

in fantasy land I hope its a straight swap for Pep to the gunners and Wenger to Barca

Wouldn't take pep. Been poor in the transfer market and has been working with the best squad in history.

yeah but mangers in Spain have to deal with the club president at lot more than premiership managers when it comes to player purchases

Moyes could carry on in the same vein as Wenger.

I'd let Wenger pick his replacement, or at least let him make recomendations.

If/when he steps down, I dont think he'll leave the club, he's put too much in to it to start fresh at a new club at his age. I think he'll be getting one of those fancy higher up jobs. You know, the one's that dont really appear to do anything.

Whatever people say about Wenger I think he's a great manager and would be a huge loss for Arsenal and an end of an era if he were to leave.

As for his replacement I think for Arsenal it would absolutely essential to bring someone in with the same mentality and philosophy as Wenger - someone who values youth and passing, attacking football.

For me Moyes would be a bad choice in this regard. Pep would be a good choice but I would think Arsenal fans could be in dreamland thinking about him. Someone like Rikjaard, someone who plays passing football is what I think Arsenal should go for, to continue the philosophy that Wenger has instilled in the club.

Agreed, if he does leave it won't be to another club. If he doesn't retire, he may do something with the French FA, but even that is unlikely.
