Sterling Account with Southern Address

    Anyone know how I would go about setting up a sterling account up north but with a southern address? Trying to diversify currencies.

    On a personal note, when I moved my pittance out of Ireland, I didn't use IBAN (i.e. an electronic transfer). Currency movements are tracked by the government and by using IBAN, they will know exactly where your money is.

    By all means, you should pay your taxes, but the less the government know about your assets, the better.

    For along time now, every transaction contains full details of both the sender and the recipient regardless of whether you use an IBAN or not! And while it is true that over all movements are reported to the ECB and the Central Bank, individual movements are not, although banks are required to apply the money laundering rules to the transactions.
