    Hi,

My Fiance and myself are looking to get married in September next year and were wondering if anyone could recommend any hotels that are doing good deals at the moment.... Our budget is pretty low so we're looking to do everything quite cheaply so any recommendations would be appreciated....

    Thanks :D

If you are in Dublin and you wouldn't mind an Asian buffet as your wedding meal then this seems like a really good deal, they even include the DJ!

Good winter value at the Station House in Kilmessan in Meath.

What sort of plan did you have eg church/hotel/registry office/restaurant?

I thought the deal in Marybourgh House Hotel in Cork was very good.

Another option is to wait for another Groupon/ Dealrush wedding package to come up, they seem to appear every few months or so. One of them a while back was fantastic value, something like €1900 for a package for 100 guests. Of course then you are tied to the location of the wedding package.

We got a fantastic deal with our hotel in Tipperary, but wouldn't have known about it had we not gone and talked to them. It's worth going around hotels/ retaurants in your local area and seeing what they can do for you.

we're based in Leixlip but we're open to go anywhere to be honest. We've been engaged for nine years now and have always talked about getting married but then the costs have put us off a little.... We don't want to go too extravagent but a nice church wedding followed by a reception for all our family is what we're looking for :D

Leixlip House Hotel and Leixlip Manor (used to be liffey valley house hotel) are doing deals starting from about 35euro per head. Good deals to be had if yr willing to get married out of 'season'- november to feb or midweek! Most hotels would love a wedding to be booked on a monday to thursday in november, Jan or Feb as they are not normally busy then, means you can haggle a good bit.

I remember the Westwood Hotel in Galway did really cheap packages, like around 35pp...

Ballyroe Hotel in Tralee Co. Kerry offer some very reasonable deals, it's a lovely venue too but probably a bit far away! There's a competition starting soon on facebook to win a 2013 wedding with the reception in the Hamlet Court Hotel in Meath, ye could enter that if ye didn't mind waiting another few months for the wedding! :)

Our local rugby club has said they can do a two course meal for 13 EUR person for 120. The only problem with it is the carpet in the place is awful. It really is putting me off.

    Great first post.

I suggest putting your feelings on the carpet aside in perspective to the price of the meal.

If you were looking for something more casual you should keep an eye out for restaurants that have rooms they rent out. I know there is amicus in Cork where you can rent out the upstairs, they have their own bar area up there and a small dance floor..

Are you looking for a hotel or just a nice place for a meal?

Courtyard in Leixlip do a good package, they don't do huge amounts of weddings but are trying to improve on that so they're might be room for negotiations!
