Does the gateway still work with 08xxxxxxxx@sms.mymeteor.ie ?

I could only ever get success by forwarding my mymeteor.ie email account to 08xxxxxxxx@sms.mymeteor.ie but this has stopped working recently.
I know Meteor withdrew their e-mail service earlier this year so perhaps that is why. The old email is still there if you have an account http://mail.mymeteor.ie/mail/main

I find Meteor bounce anything to 08xxxxxxxx@sms.mymeteor.ie coming from non Meteor email domains.

I'm getting nowhere with Meteor support. They just aren't interested in making this work anymore.

Does any other Irish network have a working e-mail to SMS gateway?

Is such a service provided by a third party at a reasonable cost?

I would have thought it possible to have Google do this with Gmail and Calendar having your mobile for notifications.

I signed up with www.esendex.ie which seems to do the job.
Cost will be 10c per text which isn't as good as previously free from Meteor but will be ok for my low volume.
