OK to install PDFReaderSetup.exe????

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not (hopefully it is) but I want to install a free PDF to MS Word conversion application (PDFReaderSetup.exe) from the online PDF conversion site http://convertpdftoword.net which does a good job of converting PDF's to MS Word.

How can I determine whether or not it is safe to download and install? I have the full AVG Internet Security Suite installed. Will that automatically scan it before opening it??

For your program have a look at using Sandboxie http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-browser-protection-utility.htm#Sandboxie.

You can test any program you download by installing it in the sandbox. If the program is infected you will receive a warning from your anti-virus security software. You can then delete the contents of the sandbox and all traces of the program you installed will dissappear from your PC. However if there is no warning, you are free to install the program on your real PC outside the sandbox confident in the knowledge that the program is safe.

Personally I don't use (or like!) AVG although others like it.
