There seems to be more interest here in the royals, than there is in the UK.

I note how After Hours is regularly festooned with admiring posts on all the lovely goings of the Royals. It's good that one lone brave voice speaks out against the popular swell of opinion.

    Oh dear. Go away.

Are you trying it ignore me for some reason? Not smart enough for you?

Why? My family would never abandon someone because they were special needs. Why should the 'cream of society' get away with it without criticism.

The sad thing is, UK society does it on a daily basis, it is called care in the community, which is a great concept if you ever saw one of them Victorian nut houses

Only problem the money for the care bit never came through

So the cream are no different to Joe Public

In the same way closet gays are usually the most vocally homophobic, closet royalists often spout this sort of thing to cover their own secret desires.

Oh don't even start me on those fags:mad:

Hospital staff interviewed for a Channel 4 documentary said they were not aware of them ever receiving visits, Christmas cards or birthday cards.
In Child Abuse Top Trumps, that's always beaten by the "Systematically Buggered by a Catholic Priest" card.

We should really look at how we treated special needs people over the decades before judging other countries.

No sh*t, Shelock. This isn't really about that, there's umpteen threads about child abuse, this isn't one.

No, why would i do that?
The fact is that were all inbred, you don't have to go back very far in your family tree before you start seeing some overlapping. If knowing know facts makes someone a tit then i guess i am one

Well, if you signed up on that forum, and asked those questions, you wouldn't be on there for long, so it wouldn't waste much of your time.:D

I think it is hilarious that Britain continues to finance the royal family.

What exactly have you contributed to this thread aside from slagging off the op? If you have no interest in the subject then maybe you should consider another topic.

One couldn't possibly have mongoloids running amok in the halls of the royal palaces, could one? Why they might frighten the horses.

I've probably contributed a lot more than you, and I don't think you know what slagging means. At least I'm not a moaning minnie. :(

As Irish People We would resent our president being constantly criticised by English people(even though the office has very little power)

The Queens role is mainly a figurehead to her Nation also.

on average approx 90% of people on the Island of Ireland voted YES to the good Friday agreement.

To hate her is ridiculous,to dislike her Govt is fine,to dislike the Royals because they were born into Royalty is like blaming your ancestors for the family they stuck you with!

We have to get over this,if nothing else the recent historic visit by her to Ireland and how proud we were of McAleese demonstrated how much most wish for a cordial relationship, and only the deepest of begrudgers would deny it was not easy for the Queen and our president to have tried to respect each others 'sacred' places.

Hopefully in the words of the Desiderata "No doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should".

They probably aren't any more expensive than a president would be to be honest.
