probably have had this countless times before but here goes.

I have a Sky box now used, due to the recession as a free to air box. for some reason went into 'standby mode' ( red light) and I cannot get it to reset to green to recieve channels....

Are Sky being ultra crafty or what am I doing wrong. Ive tried all the combinations I can think off... disconnecting the supply, the cable, taking out the card , reinserting it etc. still red light.

There is a distribution box in the attic which Im presuming is powered by the sky box....

apart from throwing the unit at the nearest wall, any advice on how to get the system back up and running

    Thanks

    Harrassed father of 3 teenagers....

hello what make and model is the box? try the master reset might work.

Turn off power supply for a minute..... turn back on whilst holding down backup on the sky box.

there should be an array of lights lighting up on your box which will take a while to go out then in a few minutes you should be back to channel 999 and ready to go...

    Did you do this?

You could also try keeping the standby button pressed for a minute while plugging the power in at the back. But if your not getting a green light at all it sounds like the box is goosed!

What's the model number of the Pace Digibox (on the label)?
