c# how to add the date

im looking to add the date to an assignment but everything that i have looked at on-line hasn't worked, this is how i would do it Console.WriteLine("Date: 10/11/2011"); but im guessing that it is incorrect as we were told to look it up on-line any help would greatly be appreciated
