Any Boardies ever won anything in the Irish/Euro Lotto?

So do we have any Lotto winners on here? How much did you win? Anyone won more than €20,000? Did you spend it all on sweets?

Most I won in one go I think was about €20, spent it on fags and two pints :pac:

Friend of mine, her brothers both won in a syndicate at the end of the 90's, they left the country with there small amount and set up a buisness in Thailand, now both very successful. Lucky fellas!

I know people see it as a tax on the poor, but I just see it as a bit of fun.

I see it as a tax on the stupid and desperate.

Still buy a ticket though. God help me I need this.

€218 on euromillions in September. I put it in the account with my communion money.

Won on the £1 x 3 number ball game (Irish lotto) in bookies quite a few times which over a period of years works out at a few grand .

I think someone put it best a while back here; that playing the lottery is like buying a daydream. You're in. You might win and can muse over things you'd like to do with the cash.

Also some goes to charity which eases the pain from the inevitable "Not a Winner" message.

Minor amounts on the euromillions, scratch card, €8, €20 etc. Never won a cent on the Irish lotto, so don't do it anymore.

Took me ages to figure out what the fcuk you was talking bout. Thought it was some sort of campervan or something.

I won €1500 for five numbers, it was €3.5 million for six. :rolleyes: I rarely do it at all, I know people that are manic about getting their no's done.

My mother won £10,000 on an 'all cash'

Yip, I won €7 euro last night on the Euromillions. My notice has been handed in and now it's time to start living the good life.

Won €100 last week. We've a group in work who've been picking the same numbers for the last 10 years. About 8 years ago we got 5 numbers and the bonus, got about €750 each. If we had picked 34 instead of 32 (bonus number) we'd have won about €130,000 each :eek:

Edit: Actually, those amount should be in £'s

I've won minor amounts over the years but two years ago I won a scratch card from the lotto and from that scratch card I won 5 grand - woo hoo!

I have had some good luck over the years, Apr 1995 had five numbers main draw jackpot was 3.5 million punts, my numbers were 1,3,7,11,20,37 I work in aviation so I picked aircraft types ie Boeing 737 Airbus 320 and the ol BAC111, numbers called out were 1,3,7,10,20,37 just wish BAC could have named it a 110. I won 1600 punts.

2002 again had five numers main draw won €1300

And as recently as 24Oct had five numbers on the Monday millions plus draw bagged a lovely €500.

The big one is coming I can feel it.

Only ever got a couple of euro.
Someone I know got €1million on the lotto recently though.
