New products that have been a complete flop

    The Nintendo 3DS comes to mind. It was pitched as the most ground breaking hand held gadget ever but sales have been poor by Nintendo standards.

    Others;

    Dasani; The finest tap water that Coca-Cola could sell you.

    The Apple Cube

    HDDVD

    New Coca Cola. Though I personally think this was the best marketing ever. Give people a crap new product, get them talking and then bring back the classic one.

    Windows Vista.

    Google Buzz/Circles/whatever they're calling it today

    What else?

    The Delorean DMC-12

    It was useless.

    Whenever I reached 88mph I ended up in 1955 where I had to fight off advances from my own mother!

    I really should stop hanging around with that old guy down the road.

    Not for me, I still use them for portable recording, far superior than any mp3 player tbh...

    Totally agree with you, they are much superior sound quality wise. But they just lost out in the all important marketing war.

    Early advertisements referred to Dasani as "bottled spunk" or featured the tagline "can't live without spunk". These slogans were used seemingly oblivious to the fact that spunk is slang for semen in the UK
