Anyone got any tips for avoiding dry skin while cycling? Any lotions or potions out there I can use on the face?

    Hi Ozzy

May I ask how you experience the dry skin?

I find that my face, especially the softer parts like the ears and hairline itch in the morning when I cycle to the office. I though I was allergic to something, but my wife think my skin is just dry and that I need to start using potions/lotions.

E45. Before bed and after every shower. Euro compliant but manly.

Sweating lots works for me. I only need to use miracle potions on non-cycling days.

I think it's the wind drying my sweat either side of my nose. My usual route starts with an uphill few km's, the sweat drips onto my glasses and onto my face, then the descent usually dries it out.

    Yes, this.

    For extreme conditions try Vaseline.

Move to Donegal, where a shower can last for up to a day.

Sounds like you have eith dry or sensitive skin anyway. Drink more water and take Vitamin E supplements e.g Cod Liver Oil or StarFlower Oil. Also buy a buff and pull it up over your nose.
