Is Was chewing gum made in Ireland?
    fyp!
    Hopefully not for real.

As in it was the one and only factory in Ireland making chewing gum, hopefully it's not been shut down due to the fire.

Some people just don't read what's there or see something that isn't there!

I've been chuckling away to myself at some of the replies in this thread :D

On a serious note though I'm sure this fire will be hard to swallow for the owner and the workers there :(

FFS AHers, 33 replies and not one actually detailing the extent (if any) of the actual fire. One pun is funny, two is pushing it. More is thanks whoring.

Any details on the fire itself?
it seems the fire investigation unit are stuck in a bubble on this one

Am I the only one who is happy it burnt down? I hate chewing gum, it should be banned here. I hate the smell of it, nothing worse than being stuck in a small space with someone who is chewing gum, its just rank. And its horrible to sit down on the seat of a bus and then realise that some inconsiderate arsehole has stuck a blob of gum to the seat in front of you, which means you will have to look at it for the next 3 hours. It really is disgusting.

Probably started by that same fellow who shot out Dana's tyres from the grassy knoll there in Kilcock. I heard he'd been seen arson around the place:D:D:D.

    It was JR Chewing.

The lads who owned that business sold the site 5 years ago for €18 million and moved the production to China.

Sean Dunne (Gayle Killilea's old and fat hubby) bought it.

80 people lost their jobs at least thanks to the Dunner they all got a nice redundancy payment.

Which you are now paying for.

That's a stupid argument! Even if it did shut down, people are still going to buy chewing gum. The only difference is that their purchases will be helping other economies and not ours. Irish people will be out of work but chewing gum will still be around...
