Has anyone any ideas why some channels show locked under windows media center (win7 -32) yet on the same lnb and cable using a fta box they are there to view. Both food network and it's +1 show locked in the tv setup. I tried deleting the database and reset up wmc with the same issue. Using the same card under windows 7 64 on another machine/lnb and dish it shows correctly. I was just wondering if anyone has come across this.
Personally I'm leaning towards the software being the root cause.

    compro S350 - current driver

Default windows 7 media center guide is a joke, channels are incorrectly labeled and mapped and you often get the encrypted versions of free channels.

Download Guidetool to edit your channels and run through a full transponder scan twice before using it.

WMC default channel list is way, way out of date. You can manually scan single transponders to add specific channels

    TASKS>TV>TV SIGNAL>SATELLITE TRANSPONDER SCAN>SINGLE TRANSPONDER SCAN

    then enter the right values.
    http://en.kingofsat.net/freqs.php?&pos=28.2E&standard=All&ordre=freq&filtre=Clear
    lists FTA settings.

    Then TASKS>TV>GUIDE>EDIT CHANNELS

to pick and choose what you want, re-order them etc.
I wouldn't recommend a full scan as it will load hundreds of shopping and "god botherer" channels.
