Paddy Clancy. Family was not called Clancy. The dog was always referred to by its full name as in "Did you feed Paddy Clancy?" and "You didn't let Paddy Clancy out this morning and he took a dump on the kitchen floor"

I also always swore if I got a dog I'd call him Achilles, just so I could say "Achilles, heel."

When I was young, my friend had a dog called 'Minton'.

The little fecker kept running off with, and chewing up our shuttlecocks.

We use to shout "Bad Minton, Bad Minton"
