I tend to tell by the articulation of a post.
    Women are much more articulate.

    Dudess
    Millicent
    Windsock
    Biggins
    Wibbs

For anyone confused out there I am a boy in a man's body

You are many things but a boy is not one of them.

I think most people think I'm male until I say otherwise

sometimes it's fun to mess with posting style to deliberately give that impression without saying so

i dont do that anymore though :pac:

Nah I'm pretty good at spotting the wimminz... the guys who like to pose as girls eventually slip up too.
Some of the ladies complaining about being mistaken for the other team might think about some cutesy avatars and pink text in their sig for the less perceptive...

As someone else said, spotting age is much more difficult...

I wish I'd chosen a more ambiguous username and avatar.

Awkward flirty PMs from guys would be funny!

AH I never thought you were female. I get called male all the time.

If it was hondasamantha, you might stand a better chance. Sam makes me think dude at least.

    It's pretty easy to differentiate:

Guys: Rational arguments / posts about bewbs

Girls: Rambling incoherence / posts about shopping (plus way more smilies and !!!)

    :pac:!!!!!

Honda doesn't help either, but the avatar gives it away.;)

I have avatars and sigs switched off, I find they distract from the purity of the prose here.

This thread reads like a 'Whos Who' of established Boardsies. Useful info for us newbies ;)

I thought Windsock was a guy till I saw her at a beers with boobs and stuff. For a long time I thought Frada was a chick too.

You're wrong with who you think are women.

It's pronounces doodss. as in plural of dude. He was just high when he wrote it.

I'd be fairly obvious to be fair, unless you think I'm a bloke masquerading as a chick. :pac:

I think I'm pretty good at guessing posters genders though. There are a couple of ambiguous ones but usually posting/writing style gives them away eventually. Phasers was a surprise to me though.

I appear to be one of the very few that knew phasers was female?

In my head y'all are male until there's evidence to the contrary.

I don't understand how anyone thought Frada was a women

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭Kanoe

some are more obviously male/female but I like the gender neutral kind where you just can't tell, their posts are usually more interesting too.

also, I know Wibbs is a guy but I still hear a female voice when reading his posts. Don't know what that means at all at all.

I've flip-flopped on you a couple of times (oo-er!) I seem to remember something way back pegged you as a lady and then something else made you seem more boyish another time. Username/avatar/writing style inconclusive.
