    Hi guys,

I have a sky box and no subscription.
I was told I can watch RTE but when I turn it on I see: "there is a fault please try later."

    Any tips for me please?

    Thanks,

Think RTE is still one of the scrambled stations with no active Sky account.

Thought I read that it would soon be clear to view, but as I am not a Sky subscriber any more then I have no more info, sorry.

Never had a Sky box, but as far as I know, with no subscription, you would need an aerial for Irish TV.

If the Sky box is still connected to the dish, I believe that if you remove the Sky card, there is some way to get the free to air channels that include all the UK channels plus a lot more. I am sure someone will come on and explain it to you.

rte is not available on sky platform without a sub.

however it will be on satellite in the future , see here for more info.

You can watch RTÉ for free via Saorview OP. You may need to buy a new set top box but it will give you the Irish channels FTA
