Overflow pipe runs when boiler running

Heating been off since the "summer".

Replaced the oil tank and pipeline and got 500 litres this morning.

Fired up the boiler to let it run and check for air in pipeline. Then I hear a steady drip from the overflow pipe in the attic. Ran it for 20 minutes and it didn't stop.

Any ideas whats causing the drip?

Is it the vent pipe that goes up and over the small tank in your attic , if so this means that your heating is pitching , could be a numbrr of reasons for this , make sure your rads are all open if problrm still happens get a plumber to check it out

Is the drip from the overflow to the outside or from the expansion into the header tank.

Drain the tank and set the stopcock so the tank is only 1/3 full. It may be a case of the system not having enough room to cope with the expansion tank. See how you get on.
