    Hey guys,

As I say new type 2005 S40 CD Player not reading CD's anymore. Volvo dealer quoted me €600 to supply and fit new unit. LOL
Is there good/much cheaper audio specialsits that could fix this around Dublin/Leinster/anywhwere! Would loike to get it fixed but I'm not willing to spend that much on a 6 year old car. That could go a nice wau towards a nwere trade in in fairness. Any advice, cheers?

€600 sounds about right plus software download... the only thing that may be worth checking is if there are any coins or similar inside the unit...have seen thisn before so may be worth checking

No, I don't think so, I don't have kids or anything that would do that. I think i'll struggle on without it so. 1 step forwards and 2 steps back with modern cars. That is a ridiculous some of money for a CD player
