According the customer services at Sky ( 1800535767)
BBC channels will be available to ROI customers from April 1st. But to check back in a week or so for channel details ( eg: which region of bbc will be broadcast and epg numbers)

    So there, no more speculation.

    Your Welcome.

Sky Customer Service tell me they are attempting to get the BBC channels for ROI subscribers but there is no date as yet. As always, they are giving out different information to each caller.

Hmmm. They have given you a date! When I rang them 2day (Mar19), was told Sky were in negotiations with Beeb and nothing has been finalised. I was told something about needing to charge licence fees! Bad enuff paying for RTÉ's licence which is due to go up £11 without paying BBC's fee which is aroud £110 per year. Although what they may do is let us have them as premium channels (which would be terrible) or just stick em on Family Pack (which would be fine by me <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :smokin --><img src="../www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smokin.gif" ALT=":smokin" OLDREF="http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smokin.gif"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> ). I have just read some1 saying that beeb will be on @ 8pm 2nite. For some reason, i doubt it very much.

I know the SKY stands in the Cork shopping centers, Bishopstown Court and Douglas anyway, are now advertising BBC1, BBC2 (and E4)...I saw the sign yesterday, the 19th.

I'll ask for details next time.

    Hi Ivan,

I saw the same guy in Douglas on Saturday. The sign on the display stand says BBC1, BBC2, E4 now on Sky. I asked him about this and he said that the BBC's would be on the platform this week.

No sign of them today at lunch though.

I can't imagine Sky would be chuffed to see ppl jumping the gun a wee bit with the BBC issue.
