saw Mani on shooting stars a few weeks ago and wondered why is he on, and thought when Vic asked any chance of a reunion I thought it was just an obvious lame question.

    shocked!

Tell you who I feel sorry for, the members of all the tribute bands and their families. It'll be a cold Christmas in the Complete Stone Roses' house.

I'd much prefer a Smiths reunion. Morrissey is still a brilliant live performer and Marr, well Marr is just God.

Good luck getting a ticket, maybe for the Liverpool gig :pac::pac:

At least I'll get to scratch this off the bands I'll never get to see live! I wanna be adored is going to be emotional, best news in ages.

    Both.

I loved them so can't help wanting to see them again but also knowing deep down that they should have just let it go even as early as 1990. They could never again be as perfect as 1988-1990.

Only if the simian frontman sings in key.

It's a no from me so.

Will be interesting to see them back at Reading. That's where it all came to a horrible end 15 years ago. Squire and Wren had both quit at that stage and a pilled up Ian Brown and Mani were booed off stage. It was horrible to see such an epic band reduced to that.

So most bands that play great shows abroad come to Ireland and it all suddenly goes pear-shaped? Bit of a generalisation no?[/Quote]

Here's a weird one for ya, I think the atmosphere at Irish gigs is usually electric, better than 9/10 European countries and our lovely people have no problem having the craic for the day...

Then you hit the bar, takes you an hour and 40 mins to get a drink from the bar, you end up getting pissed on, the beer is muck, talk to your mates for an hour listening to some totally irrelevant **** Dublin indie band whilst giving out about the sound quality, then the Stone Roses come on and the sound engineer pisses off to get a bag of chips and some other flunky turns the levels down while he goes, and it ends up sounding a muffled mess everytime the wind blows!

Your head gets wrecked, you leave early to attempt to get transport home, resulting in a 3 hour bus journey home with a load of scobies causing agro on the same bus as ya

Don't get me wrong, the brits ain't the worst gig go-ers, they just ain't as much fun as we are, but you would guarantee one thing, the sound would be perfect and it would be organised to the point that we would be back in Manchester in no time at all heading out enjoying the rest of the night.... And all this without some young wan called Jacinta puking on your new kicks coz she did too many bickys and drank too much Smirnoff ice....

    Generalize much Fieldog?

Probably, but I'm usually correct about these things.... :P

( no offence to mancs or brits intended! )
