WH Smith opening in Arnotts??

    Saw an article in Irish Publisher News that WH Smith plan on opening a branch in Arnotts in Henry Street this month. No details on either website, does anyone know anything about this?

    I heard rumours too. After Waterstone's vacating Jervis, there'll now be a WHSmith, a bargain book shop on Liffey Street and a Hughes & Hughes (that seems to be a 'bargain' book shop specialising in soft toys for kids).

    Oh dear. WHSmith is awful. Losing Waterstone's and gaining a WHSmith = :(

    I agree. WHSmith is too expensive for me. I'd prefer a BookStation or a good bargain book shop instead.

    Well there is a bargain bookshop on the quays but it's fairly poor. The WHSmith shop is a 'concession' type shop in Arnotts. From the dimensions I've heard mentioned, I don't think it will be very big and I wouldn't say books would be its major emphasis. The Northside is crying out for a good bookshop (bar Chapters).

    You can't beat Chapters! Their wonderful second hand section!

    Best book store in Dublin, and I have been to most of them.
