Renault G Espace-sunroof glass not opening

Hello,

The sunroof on my Grand Espace has a problem since i bought the car second hand.The garage said that never worked for previous owner,so i cannot blame them for not lettign me know.

Basically,the blinds are opening and closing fine,full and half way.
When i move the button to open the glass as well,i can hear some clicks in the module above my head and nothing moves...

I haven't tried pushing the glass as i do not want to end with an faulty open roof.
Went to a garage and the mechanic told me i might need a part that the main cable runs through,it can be a lubrication issue or a e1-3k job and might take up to a week !

Anyone with Espace having this problem !? How did you fix it ?
I'm heading to a car parts to get some grease to spray inside,hoping that will remove the "stuck-in" part or unblock the whole glass/metal mechanism .
