Superb performance by David De Gea. More of the same please. If he proves me wrong I'll be one happy camper.

    Shocking error by Giggsy.

Ferdinand did clip Adam in my view. Bizarre decision from the ref...if you give the free you've got to give Rio a second yellow.

United with the stronger claim for a penalty for handball...more hand to ball in the Nani incident than the ball to hand witnessed in the Evans incident.

Weird selection by Fergie but only he knows how f..ked up Rooney's head was.

A good result based on today's events.

I didn't see other handballs but Evans' was not a penalty imo, contact totally unntentional.

After a very promising start to the season ,playing good attacking football ,the old faults in midfield and defence are coming back .

4 poor performances in a row against Stoke,Norwich,Basle and Liverpool.
Only one clean sheet ,a shaky defence and a serious lack of quality in central midfield.
More worrying is the shift to more negative tactics .
That midfield was set out to keep them at bay until late on then bring on the big boys to try kill them off.

Plan would have been perfect had the wall done it's job and not split so easily.

Deserved point today, happy with the result in fairness.

Anyone who thinks we could have played the same brand of attacking football today as we did earlier in the year is a bit deluded and not giving pool the respect they deserve.

There was a Liverpool handball in the second half, I though it was Henderson who handled it but I'm not 100% about that. Anyway, similar to Evans it was a non-issue and unavoidable.

Enrique I think. And yeah, neither of them were penos. Each player could do nothing, the ball was kicked essentially right next to both of them. If a peno was given for either then it would have been insanely harsh.

‎''We know it is a very important point but I don’t feel like a hero. I scored the goal but United scores overall.”- Hernandez

I wouldn't criticise Fergie's team selection, as things were going to plan until Giggs' painfully ridiculous error. Another gift from us to Liverpool at Anfield.

The plan was to clearly keep it tight for 65-70 mins, and then unleash Rooney, Nani and Hernandez and nick it. Saying that, it was sheer lunacy that Rooney didn't start, unless his mind really wasn't on his game.

De Gea done brilliantly. You would have expected him to make all the saves he did, but his composure was supreme and he done well coming for crosses. Smalling was easily man of the match, what a fantastic player he is, he didn't give Downing a sniff and done well against Suarez in a few situations. Ferdinand and Evans were very good throughout I thought and dealt with what was thrown at them reasonably well. Evra done fine, certainly an improvement on his past performances.

Jones was quite effective in midfield first half, but his influence faded in the second. Giggs had a fairly poor game and Fletcher was average enough. Young was very quiet, Kelly done very well against him. I thought Park was decent and added good energy to the side, lacked a bit of cutting edge in the final third though. Nani provided a bit of spark when he came on.

Welbeck was once again impressive. Led the line very well for the most part in what was a very difficult task for him. Hernandez's movement was superb for the goal. He's very effective when played from the start in most games, but my God he's a dream substitute to have when you're searching for a goal.

Overall, you'll take 1-1 at Anfield and come away happy enough. Still unbeaten this season, which is great.

    West Brom(A)

    Tottenham(H)

    Arsenal(H)

    Bolton (A)

    Chelsea (H)

    Stoke City (A)

    Norwich City (H)

    Liverpool (A)

20 points out of a total of 24 from those fixtures is an outstanding return. After our next two games, Man City(H) and Everton(A), we have a really handy run of games.

    Sunderland(H)

    Swansea City(A)

    Newcastle United(H)

    Aston Villa(A)

    Wolves(H)

    Queens Park Rangers(A)

    Fulham(A)

    Wigan(H)

    Blackburn(H)

    Newcastle United(A)

    Bolton(H)

We really are in a superb position.

One thing I was particularly happy about today was how good Evra played. All the talk about his handwaving and that(which I believe deserved a yellow) will undoubtedly overshadow his performance. It's the best I've seen him play in at lease 12 months, he actually looked interested in defending.

The little kiss of the crest won him a few brownie points too.:pac:

Hmm... I dunno how handy those ones are. A win against City next week would really be huge.

They're reasonably handy. We'd be expecting 9/10 points out of the 12 available. It's the easiest glut of PL fixtures we'll get all season and I'll be really disappointed if we're not top of the league by the end of them.

It certainly did, it was a nice reply to the abuse he was getting from the Liverpool fans at the time. Overall he was definitely switched on today, I just hope he doesn't go back into 'standby' mode.

Good man Sean. You get slated for having your opinion so you deserve credit for putting your hands up when it goes the other way.

    From Redcafe...
    @DarrenCanalPlus Darren Tulett
Patrice Evra accuses Luis Suarez of making racist remarks 'to try to wind me up' during #lfc-#mufc. Tonight on #CanalPlus, 22.35.
    DarrenCanalPlus Darren Tulett
Evra on Suarez: 'There are cameras, you can see him say a certain word to me at least 10 times. No place for that in 2011.' #lfc #mufc
    DarrenCanalPlus Darren Tulett
Evra expects action to be taken regarding his Suarez racist comments accusation: 'The referee is aware of what was said.' #lfc #mufc

Innocent until proven otherwise but that's a big accusation.

That's a very serious accusation to go making especially from a man who was caught making false allegations of racial abuse. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4593815,00.html

I wouldn't believe a word from Evra's mouth until proved otherwise.

However, an allegation that Bethell had 'engaged in racist conduct or language' was not proven.

Either you are stupid or misreading the findings. Which is it ?

Since they were not proven one would have to assume that it was lies.

In a court of law if the defendent cannot be proven guilty then they must be assumed to be not guilty. Here the Chelsea groundsman couldn't be proven guilty so one must assume the lad was not guilty.

All that says is that it was not proved that the racial remarks were made, that does not mean the remarks weren't made.

Having insufficient evidence and lies are not one and the same.

The logic is still the same. The FA have statutes and regualtions and if not proved guilty the defendent must be presumed not guilty. I know United fans don't like this but this isn't the first time Evra has cried wolf.

Presumed guilty, I'm happy with that.
