    Hi,

My husband is Irish (I am Canadian)and he applied for Irish Passports for our kids today and they said to go back on friday and collect them. I was wondering if I can collect them and if I can what should I bring with me. I will have the reciept with the numbers on them. Is it necessary to have the kids write out something authorizing me? I am worrying that they wont let me collect them and he will have to take off work...Our flights leave two days later so these are quite necessary. I hope when they say collect them on Friday they guarantee them to be ready. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

    Stressed in Wicklow!!!!

Would you not just ring the passport office on Monday?

I presume these are minor kids??

If so bring your Canadian passport or drivers licence and the person in the Pasport Office handing out the passports will be able to see that you are the children's mother and therefore entitled to be given the passports.

Make sure your ID is is the same name as on the birth certs (or you may need to bring your marriage cert too)

While it'll be a good idea to have the documents that netopia suggests just in case, in all likelihood so long as you have the receipt you will be sorted.
