    Hello,

Myself and a few friends are looking to go away for a weekend this side of Christmas, most likely wknd of 25th November.

Thinking of Germany but would appreciate some advice on a good city to visit. I've been to Berlin before and loved it and did all the tourist stuff which was great, but looking for something a bit different this time.

A festive buzz/Christmas fair (for the mulled wine etc!) during the day and decent nightlife would do us perfectly.

    Vielen dank :-)

The Cologne christmas markets are excellent, well worth a visit.

    week later for xmas markets.

xmas market in Heidelberg is very nice.
they have a market in the squares and up in the grounds of the castle with fires burning to keep you warm.
