He only stepped down as CEO in late August. Brave man to carry on as long as he did when he knew he was dying.

No matter my opinion on apple themselves, anyone who says the man wasn't a genius is lying through their arse.

    RIP

    R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

Never really got into Apple products, but I could see myself using them in the future.

I have to say I am very saddened by this news. A true innovator of our time. It was scary how brilliantly Apple under his direction took over first the tech world and then the rest of it.

Steve jobs will be cited for years to come on how to run a company. He will live on in the exceptional products which he delivered every year in the keynote RIP Steve, gone but far from forgotten.

Very sad. His innovation in developing and popularising new technologies was unrivalled.

You got that right, very low recovery rates compared to other forms.

I didnt expect to hear he died so soon, i know he waant well at all, wow big shock, i love ipods and my iphone, great products to me, thankful i have one because of people like him making these advances in technology! His keynote speeches always attracted my attention, just his sheer excitment showing off a new product was a great quality in him showing his confidence in his companys products.

RIP huge loss for technology, too soon, way too soon

They were citing Steve Jobs in my degree four years ago.

The first time I used a proper computer, one that wasn't a games console was on the Macs in primary school. A real genius. And he was only 56, younger than my aul fella. I'm genuinely down about this. :(

Shows how much he cared for his work to keep going while probably knowing he didn't have long left.
    RIP

It's already been said above but whatever people think re Apple, Jobs was one of the best innovators and visionaries in media and technology over the past number of decades - sorely missed

This isnt the time or place to make digs or discuss how Apple run their business. Bit of respect and all that...
