Maybe it's people like me minding my own business Turing a blind eye to this scam that has resulted in people like that getting away with it fir years and not bothering to find work and help their country.
I believe it us the business of the state as the state is supporting them and I now intend to do something about it.

    Systems get screwed.

It happens in all sections of society.

Report it or let it embitter you. Your choice.

You could be talking about bankers, politicians, the elite.

But no, turn the citizen against the citizen over peanuts and they won't notice the real crimes.

If someone has decided to live a life on benefits rather than going out and getting a job I think it's every taxpayers' business.

I bloody tell you, recession has created a bunch of moaners, begruders, jealous gits, righteous gits etc.

Sure, alot of these people playing 'the unmarried mothers scam' are scum from the flats. The type that will rob the eyes out of the back of your head. But this world is unfair and scum-baggery in every aspect. From Skanger to Politician. And everyone in between.

So instead of moaning about these people... become a rouge yourself.

    Nice guys finish last.

Because they are single mums and, apparently, we should allow them to jump the queue in the housing waiting list and then sit at home watching daytime TV whilst having their rent paid for them.

It's a known fact that the reason why Britain's teenage pregnancy rate is the highest in Europe is because many teenage girls deliberately have babies just so they can get a free council flat and all the associated benefits.

Wash your mouth out, talking about single mother's like that.
You do know that 2 or 3 of them work and pay tax's

The welfare used to be known as unmarried mothers allowance

For confirmation here is a TD asking about it in Dáil Debates
    http://historical-debates.oireachtas.ie/D/0341/D.0341.198303230026.html
The number of applicants doubled in seven years, interesting

Then it became lone parents allowance

Now we have a new PC name ;)
    It's One Parents family allowance

Why do so many people think social welfare fraud is acceptable?
If this was about Public Service workers peoples attitude would be so different.

hmmm I don't think I know any single mothers cheating the system? I think I'm going to snitch on the couple who live down the road who I've decided in my infinite wisdom (and stalking them) that they must be cheating the system, because there is no way that anyone can actually save money or shop around for nice things.

We should make tube-tying after the birth of your first child compulsory if you aren't married.

There's something wrong with a system which financially incentivises a family not to live together.

Not sure what the solution is though. Genuine single parents probably do require more sw support.

People do it because the rules are not strict enough. They get a weeks warning or whatever when the social are coming to the house to make sure they're living alone so obviously they have time to temporarily get rid of stuff to make it look like they're living alone.
