€699. People won't be prepared to pay over €700 in my opinion

    I will be annoyed if it's 700+

The 16gb will be €600 or very close to it as per previous iPhones, so there is very little chance there will be only €100 between the 16gb and 64gb versions

€699 will be the price of the 32GB. The 64GB is likely to be in the region of €799.

    I'd say anywhere from €700 - €1,000,000,000,000 :D

iPhone 4 32GB was €729 at launch. So €799 seems like the kind of figure for this IMO. Considering that they're pitching the 8GB iPhone 4 at €500, the minimum premium on top is €100 for the 4S

sim free iphone4s prices (IMO) =

    16gb - 599€
    32gb - 699€
    64gb - 849€

this is based on iphone4 8gb at €499

£699 in the UK according to T3. More expensive than iPad 2 3G 64GB!

Edit. £499 and £599 for the other two 4S models.

I couldn't believe the price they're currently setting for the 8GB 4; the 32GB was around €649/669 only a few days ago. With the 4S now, that should also drop so the 8GB 4 seems OTT

Not, it wasn't. The 32GB iPhone 4 was €699 sim-free. You are probably thinking of the PAYG version.

These are the prices for unlocked iPhones here in Australia

    3GS 8GB- $449, (IE is e349)
    4 8GB- $699, (IE is e499)
    4S 16GB $799
    4S 32GB $899
    4S 64GB $999

So if I had to guess, I'd say Irish prices will be e559, e629 and e699

Unless my eyes were deceiving me that was definitely the price on apple.com/ie store within the past few days, not at launch - I know that was the price then

    edit: I'm 99% sure it stated €669

    *From the apple site
just to give an idea of the difference in prices between unlocked phones, the difference should be about 50-80 euros in ireland

How is the 64GB S cheaper than the 32GB S?

How did you not spot that it was obviously a typo?

i'd say it will definitely 799 if last years keynote is anything to go buy, the 16gb and 32gb were 199 and 299 in the US on contracts and it's the same this year

Maybe I was thinking of another country. If that's the case, then my vote goes for €749, minimum.

iPhone 4S 16GB €629 (confirmed on German store)
    iPhone 4S 32GB €729
    iPhone 4S 64gb €799

As I said in the other thread, German and French prices do not reflect Irish prices. Their prices are more expensive than ours.

True; 3GS and 4 8gb prices are €20 higher. I guess that's to absorb some local recycling or anti-piracy tax on electronic goods? If the trend continues, we're looking at €609 for the 16gb 4S...

I never said I didn't, suppose I could have phrased it better!

Yeah, I can't believe the price of a simfree iphone4.
    €499 - ridiculous!

iPhone 4S 16GB €629 (confirmed on German store)
    iPhone 4S 32GB €729
    iPhone 4S 64gb €799

German price and Irish price for the 16gb may differ due to differences in the VAT rate.

    I would've thought the 16gb would be €599, 32gb €699 and 64gb €799 in Ireland.

Who in their right mind pays €800 for a phone. One that'll be outdated in a year. Forget the *99 stuff as it's only a marketing technique.

    Those are mental prices.

Sure the iPhone 5 will be out in a couple of months.

There are people who will pay that much, 800€ up front does sound like an appalling amount in isolation alright. But what you need to think about though, is the overall cost of using the phone, as in the initial cost plus network costs. The pint being, on 30 day contracts, you can get much better deals, and change plans at will, as opposed to being tied in to 2 year contracts. Often the price works out very similar. and, as far as i know, in Three's most recent free iphone contract offer, it was probable that it would work out cheaper to go with the contract. For some people, the thought of a 64gb iphone will be what they've been waiting for, for years. In fairness, it is the only phone to offer that level of storage without the use of micro sd cards

Well, it'll be June 2012 at the very earliest, or may well be September/October next year again, who knows..
