Was a bit disappointed on the first listen as it wasn't as immediate as Saturdays = Youth. After a few listens however the album just sounds better and better, probably one of my favourite albums of the year so far. The first 3 songs are fabulous.

It's actually pretty short for a "double album". I thought it would be much longer but it's only about 9 or 10 minutes longer than Saturdays = Youth and Before The Dawn Heals Us.

A consistently great band, although I wasn't that sold on 'Saturdays=Youth', Couleurs aside... this however is amazing, and after a second and third listen, indispensable

F**k me this sounds awesome after a good few listens. This could end up being my favourite album of the year so far. There's still a couple of tracks that sound like filler, but with songs like 'Reunion', the wonderfully creative 'Raconte-Moi Une Histoire', 'OK Pal' and 'Steve McQueen' this album is head and shoulders above most albums released this year.

It's still too early yet to compare it to their previous albums but time will tell.

    Bit long though isn't it?
That is my only issue with M83 their albums are usually too long, I think they're great but they could always lose 2-3 songs per album to make the classic they have the potential to

Defo one of the year's best releases and I haven't even got to the second disc yet. I'm very disappointed that there's no Irish date on the tour, can't understand why.

    dammit...

Sure it still hasn't been released here yet either ;)

I will get the album on CD though when it's officially released. It's definitely one of the best albums of the year so far.

This is my favourite album of the year. Must have listened to it at least in dozen times in 3 days.
Also, first time I listened to it, I put it straight back on again, and then again after that. Haven't done that in years.

Check it out here for free: (all legal) http://ilovem83.com/huwd-album-premiere/

Bought this yesterday and stuck it on in the car coming home from work - wasn't that impressed at all, was wondering what all the hype was over, sounded ok but nothing special. Stuck it on again last night and started to enjoy it more - this morning again and I fcking love it! 'Wait' is a real standout track for me, brilliant.

Listening to this record for the first time now, only half-way trough and I love it. Really really great, probably going to be one of my favourite albums of the year.

It's definitely a grower, think "Reunion" is my favourite on it. It is a bit too long though; reckon a few filler tracks could have been cut. Still, really happy with it overall. Now here's hoping they play Ireland soon. :)

Woah, completely missed that they've a new album out. This has been a good week for my MP3 player. They're playing in the UK, don't see why they can't pop over here for a gig...

Love M83 but I think he should have made it a single album, too many similar sounding instrumentals, standout track:

Really enoying it, picked up the last copy in Elastic Witch on Friday, sounds great in an empty house on a good volume!

    I love Zola Jesus.

Saw them last week and as good as Intro was it just wasn't the same without her. :(

Do they have someone singing her parts?

I'm quite amazed by her in general, really hoping someone will bring her over here next year.

Yeah, Morgan Kibby sung her parts. It would have been a completely different show had she not been there. Skin of the Night was phenomenal.

Has Zola Jesus only played Electric Picnic in Ireland? She's played London 5 times in the past 18 months including 2 club dates and her album release party. Strange she hasn't made it across to Ireland again.

Have M83 announced a Spring Dublin date? They had already lined up a London date before playing here last week.

Picked it up after hearing all the good words on here and I am impressed.

It's unfortunately not particularly full-listen commute friendly though :(

They seem to be completely ignoring playing a date in Ireland by the looks of things.
