Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Crocodile fossils found in Dominican Republic

The article is in Spanish but basically, it states that the find suggests a wider range of crocodiles in prehistoric times (unfortunately there's no word on how old the fossils are) in the Dominican Republic. Very well preserved remains of at least three crocodiles were found along with fossils of several snakes and plenty of bats (which still live in the cave were the discovery was made).
Scientists say they still don´t know if the crocodiles belong to the American crocodile species that lives today in the southern part of the country (Crocodylus acutus) or if it's a new species.
The cave is called Oleg Bat House, after diving instructor Oleg Shevchuck, who was the first man to explore the cave, and after the bats (four species) that live there.
