Society's/Groups for Developers

    Hi Guys,

    Just finishing off my degree in multimedia and application development and trying to find some society's or groups that are in Ireland for Developers/Programmers etc?

    Looking to find out about conferences, meetings, training in regards to my industry etc.

    (For example http://www.engineersireland.ie/ for engineers.)

    ICS is one of the few exclusively Irish based groups that I am familiar with:

    I get regular emails from them about training and Irish based conferences which is exactly what you are after :)

    It's also worth joining the IEEE, which is the global group really for engineering / computing especially if you want to keep an eye on conferences and industry meetings which generally take place at conferences. The student rates are pretty cheap and you get a free monthly magazine. Even browsing through their site you will get a decent bit of information and of course they have an Irish/UK section as well:
