    Hi all,

Removing McAfee soon - subscription up in 2 wks.

    I plan on using MSE.

Can the experts please advise me what else I need to do.

Should I also install Skyboot to scan for problems?

What about a Firewall, do I need to install one also?

Any suggestions on what I should do or software preferences
    would be greatly appreciated.

    Many many thanks in advance.

You should be grand with MSE, just be sure to keep it up to date.

Does MSE act as a Firewall and do scans for viruses?

It's not a Firewall, it's an Anti-Virus/Malware Scanner, you can run the Scan or set it to run itself.

I just use Windows own Firewall (it's on your computer already), if you want to download one then either Comodo (can be tricky to get use to) or PC Tools Firewall are best.

Stick Malwarebytes on aswell. Run a scan every WK/Month in Safe Mode if you use Online Banking.

Don't use Internet explorer, it's getting better but still not great, Use FireFox and stick the Web Of Trust and No Script add-ons on it.
