I'm trying to find our if people know of and are using teamer.net to alert their players to upcoming matches.

On the surface it seems like a brilliant free service but is there a catch? Has anybody any experience of it?

(Mod's - I've posted the same question in Soccer, GAA and Rugby to try to get as broad an answer as possible).

I've used it before. simple enough to use, and good to keep records as well. think the only thing some people dont like is they have sponsors ads at the end of texts. if on internet during the day, its handy to keep an eye on who has replied and who is attending, as it just take a simple "y" or "n" reply.

    Hi,

Cross forum posting is very much frowned upon, I'll let you away with it but I can't speak to all the other mods in all the other forums.

In regards to teamer, great service, only downside that I can see is the occasional advertisement email/text

Thanks Clareman. I'm genuinely just trying everything I can to give my lads an edge. Information is power and all that!

    Hi,

i use teamer for group texting to a complete underage group of 90 plus to let them know of changes to the norm or let them know of cancellation of training etc.

For my own team (squad of 13) I tend to use web txt as the info you can get into a teamer text is limited.

Welcome to boards ekwogefee, I notice that all of your posts have been advertising the same site so I'm going to ask the admins what should be done with them.

Teamer is a great way of notifying players about training and matches. My own club use it, and it was used in school as well, definetly think it is a good way to go, even though I'm not sure what the price of it is but it must be considerably cheaper than a group text. And I have to say the advertisement never really bothered me because it's below the message so you get what you need and you can just ignore the ad.
