Nissan Qashqai vibrating

Have a 2007 nissan qashqai and recently the car starts vibrating through the steering wheel when doing 100kph. This happens randomly and sometimes the engine seems sluggish. The vibration rattles the whole car but as mentioned it comes and goes when around the 100kph mark.

Any suggestions to what is happening ?

I'm far from an expert, but it sounds like wheel imbalance.

Your front wheels need to be balanced. Pretty cheap and quick to sort out.

If you are feeling it through the body of the car or your seat then you might need to look into getting the rear ones balanced too.

Check the braking surfaces of the front discs. I've had severe peeling of that surface from the disc body. Car was so much smoother after they were replaced.

Sounds like your brake caliper(s) is sticking (hence is the feel of "losing power"), seen it before on different Nissan models, including Quashqai. Overheated brake is causing brake disc to warp, therefore you'll feel strong vibration.
Might be just a wheel balancing though, but make sure brakes are not stickiging/overheating first.
