Really like this venue and considering it for our wedding. Not sure how i feel about the wedding co-ordinator we met with, feel like we couldn't trust him and would have to triple check everything he says. Has anybody had their reception there and were you happy with everything? Where their extra charges added in closer to the date?

Hey, I might not be much help, but my friend is from that area - apparently the Ballymac does a great wedding, he's been to two weddings there, one was this month. I had considered it myself as I have family connections in that area too, but that's about the extent of my own planning! The two weddings my mate was at were those of two sisters so I imagine if there had been any negative points with the first wedding the second sister wouldnt have chosen the same hotel.

Having said that, maybe there are different wedding co-ordinators working there so if you aren't happy about something then go with your gut instinct or at least get everything in writing when you confirm any details with the hotel.

MY cousin had his reception there, was a great wedding and the hotel seemed lovely. Certainly no problems from a guest's point of view (except the ludicrous wedding room rate they offered - most of the guests were staying at the other hotels nearby).
