Very disappointed nobody asked something which had nothing to do with the program whatsoever.

Boys put away the handbags! Seriously! A) Masterchef is not 'reality tv' in the normal sense, things are hammed up, edited, exaggerated and MADE UP to generate viewers. B)The beard thing was done as a publicity stunt to show that 'ooh these amateurs are up sh1t creek now with this fella', how would they have 'just happened' to have razors in their back pockets! Also he was pretty mild, if any other head chef got only 4 out of 8 pastries on time for service heads would ROLL!! And finally c) who actually CARES! Tomo is another episode so MOVE ON!

They were in a hotel in the city centre, I'm sure they could have found a razor somewhere!

Also it wasn't a service with paying customers, it was invited guests so it didn't really matter if they didn't even get one cake out!

Why all the mention of kfc

    Do you work there

I haven't seen any of them cook chicken yet, I've no clue why you keep going on about it.

Absolutely, and frankly, a disproportional effort for a few nice cakes. How much is afternoon hi-tea anyway, €3,000? €500 a cake maybe?

One would, at least I would, expect this effort as a grand ball.

That pr!(k of a chef in the Shelbourne. He just used the whole exercise as a power trip. Pretty hypocritical of him to make the lads shave while he swaggered around with his uncovered greasy bed-head.

Apart from 'read the recipe' he didnt show any skill or give any insight into cooking or being a chef - well except maybe to illustrate that one could end up with a complete w**nker for a boss in the catering trade.

30 quid a head last I checked. And I'm pretty sure you can get vouchers for 2 for 50. :P

According to the trailer for tonight's episode they're in an Indian restaurant shich could be interesting. I think Christine is going to win. She seems to be the most competent, shame about her voice though. Sounds like she's been inhaling helium!

I wish Mary would stand up straight. She is always hunched over her dishes as she brings them to the pass.

Now that head chef is streets ahead of the knob from the shelbourne.
He could learn a thing or two from his Indian counterpart.
