    I'm trying to calculate the relativistic factor γ for u/c for a number of values.

    I was wondering if anyone could start me off with the first value which is 0.1?

    Thank you

    Am I correct in thinking the answer for the value 0.1 is 0.995 to 3 sf?

    And a value of u/c=0.6 would have a relativistic value of 0.8?

    If a is u/c, then γ is

    1/sqrt[1-a*a]

    So if you have a = 0.6

    γ = 1/sqrt[1-a*a]
    = 1/sqrt[1-0.6*0.6]
    = 1/sqrt[0.64]
    = 1/0.8
    = 1.25

    Thanks very much Morbert.

    Much appreciated!
