For anyone who never heard of it, it was late night music television programme on RTE and it used to showcase alternative music. It used to be on for about an hour on Thursday nights and I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a similar programme (of around the same length) as while I still listen to some alternative stuff No Disco introduced me to bands I never would have known about.

It doesn’t need to be Irish at all and to be honest but if anyone could recommend such a programme that’d be great. Once it showcased a lot of bands from different countries (like ND did) that would also be cool.

    Hi R3al,

Yeah I look at youtube now and again, but I suppose I'm looking for something that will introduce me to artists I never would have had the urge to find out more about. I know the likes of Last FM also could be used but despite not always being mad, video as a way of artists getting their music across I have to admit that some of the videos that were on No Disco were really inventive.

I might look up Under the Ether on youtube if I can and see where I can go from there. Thanks R3al

From The Basement is a good program, shows live performances of a number of bands, some well known, some not as much. Usually on Sky Arts 1 or 2 late at night.

Havent actually listen to it myself but Donal Dineen's small hours radio show on today fm is supposed to be very good. I think he was one of the presenters for no disco so that should be a good sign.
