Hi all, just joined WW tonight after not pointing or tracking since I was last s member 2 years ago.. I don't like the wheel thing for points and I only have the old calculator. Does anyone know a good app or website for calculating points ? Thanks

Pinklady, get the new calculator if you can, it's been absolutely invaluable to me since I got it, well worth the money! I think there is an official WW app, I'm still part of the non-smartphone brigade so maybe someone else knows where to get it?

Its called iWatcher I think.. And there is iSkinny.
I only ever get free apps on my phone so I just use the points calculator too!

Thanks shanna and geansai, I'll look them up and think I'll probably get the calculator next week!

I use iWatcher and find it absolutely brilliant for the calculator and for tracking. I don't think I'd do so well if I had to write everything down but find I'm completely honest with myself with tracking on my phone. The phone calculator is great for the supermarket and the like as it is kinda discreet (well, maybe I'm really obvious without knowing it) so it makes pointing and making good food choices on the go easier. I've found it to be well worth the 79c.

Just noticed now that the new website is up and its looking good!

    http://www.weightwatchers.ie/

Was down 1.5lbs. Normally I'd be delighted with this but given last weeks 3.5lbs gain I thought it'd be a bit more. Ah well here's to next week and maybe getting that 2nd stone!!

we had a relation from england over for the week, so there was chipper food, maccyDs, chinese take out, bottles of real coke, cakes, biscuits, very poor water intake.... and I didnt track for the week

I kinda knew it was coming, but ... nearly 5lbs?

woohoo, clawed back 3.75lbs of this this week, ... back on track!

Sts this week, pretty happy considering I ate rings around me at the weekend and it's my TOTM. Put up 2.5 last week but that was expected after a week in France. Need to just get my head in the game now, haven't been tracking properly for weeks!

Well done! 1.5 is brilliant! Thanks for the tip about the site, visited the old one a few times and was a bit disappointed, looks really good now :)

Edit: Just tried the WW brand wholemeal pitta breads for the first time - did I get a bad batch or are they always this bloody crumbly? It fell into bits when I cut it open!!!

There is a app called point tracker which is more accurate than iwatcher or any other app that I have tried!

    Hi all,

I got back from my lovely 3 week Italy holiday on Sunday night and had my first weigh in yesterday afternoon. Up 5lbs. Boo!!! I did really enjoy myself though and 3 weeks of Pizza, Pasta and daytime Cocktails was never gonna be good for me lol Just gonna have to be really good and try and get it all off again.
Definitely want to take part in the 1 stone by christmas challenge too.
It took me ages to read over all the posts I've missed but already got a good few recipes copied, Did a big healthy food shop to be delivered on Friday after work and will be cooking up a storm this weekend.
Starting uni tonight, 2 evenings a week for the next 4 years but it's something I really want to do so here's looking to the future and a smarter and skinnier moi :)

    Onwards and Downwards

The pitta's are really crap and do fall to pieces if you are not meticulously careful. They are also REALLY thin and you may aswell just be eating your sandwich filling wrapped in lettuce leaves. (You can see I don't like them very much ha ha :) )

    Hey everyone,

I was around the thread early in the year before I discovered I was pregnant. Well my little bundle has arrived safe and well, so its time to face the music! Have a stone to lose to get to where I was in January, and maybe a little more after that, we'll see!

Small goals for me, would love to lose 5lbs by mid October for the
Christening. I'm subscribed online to the UK site so am weighing in each Tuesday morning at home...

    Onwards and downwards folks :-)

I had a huge portion of 150g (raw frozen weight) for 6pp!
That was LOADS for me ...and i can seriously pack away the food!

you can cook it from frozen, i did it in a tefel ban with no oil! it was PERFECT!

:D So happy! cos i was starting to really get sick of chicken!

I eat extra lean steak mince once a week its so worth it! I find since starting WW I fill up on the veg on my plate so dont need as much mince! I was a veg-phobic (made up word) before last month! :)

Dunnes own brand Wholemeal Pitta's are 3pp each as well and they are much better. They are thicker and hold much better. The WW wraps aren't great either. Has anyone tried the bagels, are they worth it/good quality?

if i use the ww pitta i put my filling on top and make a little pizza out of them:) yummy too

i'm not too gone on the ww bagels...they're okay but not great!
the ww wraps are pathetic, the tesco light choice ones are MUCH better quality even if they are 5pp! I only use them in the quiche recipe...they are the only wraps that dont break and crack!

ww pitta breads...oh i cant count the number of times my lunch has turned into a mess from those things breaking up.

What does the dunnes packaging look like on there pitta breads? I might consider them as a lunch for college.

WW bagels are the only bread product of WW that I like. Although you still have to be careful when cutting them as they can break easily. Very nice with roast chicken breast, lettuce and ballymaloe relish nom nom nom
