    Hi all,
I recently dumped my service provider and am looking to buy a decent sat box for multi room use. I already have a dish and cable ready to hook up so I appreciate some advice on selecting a good one. Thanks a million fellow Sat tech boardsies:)

What would you like the box to do? Replace a sky+ box, hd maybe, Freesat? More info required before we could comment.

Thanks for the reply Tom, well I cant afford the sky and UPC options due to the reccession.

So I would appreciate your help to select one of the free to view options- I see some on sale in argos, tesco and power city for from 60 euros to 129 euros. But which one is best to join the home channels to the uk and euro channels -

I just want something for the kids cartoon channels and then the usual for the missus C4, ITV and BBC channels etc.

I will have to do with the sports on my laptop. :(

    Many thanks again Tom.

    Try this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056284276

The box will do for FTA and Saorview.
