Bah! The Apple didn't come with any copies of DOS or ProDOS! Came with Appleworks & Autoworks though... Not much good without DOS :P

He sold me a broken Snes as well. Didn't cope it for ages though as it was a boxed mario all stars and I only really got it for the box. Box was in bits but I guess that's what happens when you let your other half collect it.

hey we had result J!: I got two parcels , one of them with two 3 button joypads , the other with a M1 PSU.Mailed him to see if he's split it into 3 , probably being optimistic here though.

Collected the NGPC thismorning and that slot machine game which name eludes me now arrived from o1s1n too, hurray!

The only thing is that the power light keeps flashing. I'm assuming that means the watch battery is dead/not there?

You'll need to get two CR2032 batteries for it alright. Mine keeps flashing like that too. Tis well annoying!

You can pick them up on ebay from Irish sellers for practically nothing. Definitely worth it to get rid of the flashing light and that annoying prompt every time you boot it up.

Expect pornographic close ups of it when it arrives from the states.

I know, I don't have a vertical monitor to play it on and in some senses, it's probably a foolish purchase.

But it's one of my favourite games, I've been after a board years and **** is that marquee going straight on my wall!!!

Just got my Raiden pcb in the post this morning, only took a week to arrive from America which was pretty good I thought, came with an operators manual too. Also got some other manuals a few days ago just for novelty sake really, would like to get an Aliens pcb some time though. (Incoming pic spamming

)

That board is immaculate! Great purchase. I love seeing old boards like that in such good condition. Must have been well loved.

The manuals are great too. You may have just sparked off a want in me I didn't even know I had. Think I'll add some Raiden manual related search terms to my ebay saved searches.

Now, if we could just get a feckin vertical cab we'd be sorted

Amen to that. I'm not sure sitting an lcd on it's side on a couch is how these games were meant to be played. That or serious neck strain. :pac:

At least it's better than what I have planned - Sitting the PCB on top of my PS1 and 'pretending' I'm playing the board :pac:

User reviews really aren't what you should be going on considering how absolutely insane (not the good earthbound insane) that games fan base is. Have a read of how well written the reviews are and note the ones that praise the 'excellent' voice acting.

Anyway I'm just warning you that there's a lot of RPGs on the PS1 and out of them all Legend of Dragoon is up there with Beyond the Beyond as the worst of the lot.
