Just wondering, is anyone here not getting mw3? I'm on the fence at the moment and trying to decide

I don't think I will be. For me it just looks like mw2 with ghost (assassin). With no stopping power and no other perk that matches up against keeping you off the uav, it will just be ghost/assassin packed lobbies again. I watched one of the cod xp vids and even the pros were using it

I wasn't going to bother getting it either but i did get plenty of enjoyment from MW2 when it came out, Black Ops got boring so quickly and i reckon that was what put me off the idea of MW3.

I don't buy too many games these days so i said to hell with it, i'll get it and hope for the best!

Anyone been playing the BF3 beta? Any thoughts on has this altered your view on the MW3 Vs BF3 "showdown"???

IMO its an ok game but not nearly as polished as MW2 in terms of controls, graphics or sound design while bf3 has superior map design with some small added bonuses like wall jump animations being context sensitive.

Its put the visuals of mw3 in contrast for me, mw3 is an extremely polished game which the competition feels a bit rough around the edges.

I'm getting both, I'll decide after I play both of them... The full versions. I'm looking forward to both single player campaigns, not so much multiplayer... From a multiplayer aspect, MW2 annoyed me a lot and BF just feels way too open and games go on forever.

Played the BF3 beta, then fell asleep playing it. Won't be buying it.

    It. Is. A. Beta.

    *Insert numerous rolleyes smileys*

Imagine if you're precious MW2 had a beta! -_- It would have been torn to shreds! :)

Playing a beta and 100% slamming the game says it all about certain people here. Quite obvious many here will not give BF a chance whatsoever , as they'll be frankly rubbish at the game playing it like COD ... when in fact they're clueless when it comes to COD as well :) Unwillingness to change or adapt springs to mind once again.

did not really like the bf3 beta, but have preordered the game and will give it a chance.

id imagine the final game will be far more polished. some of the people playing on the pc say many of the files are from june and july , perhaps they are only testing certain aspects on the beta, like the servers handling large numbers of people.

Based on articles and the official BF forum, that would indeed prove to be the case on all formats.

Also, the textures have been lowered in quality to make the download smaller. The retail version will be HD and with high textures

I'm enjoying it to be honest, hopefully will knock COD off it's throne if MW3 is ****e.Why can't the do a beta, money grabbing pricks.

Its good but not going to knock COD of its throne, Dice would need to put out a similar quality game every year to get close to COD in terms of sales. Its also nowhere near as "Noob" friendly as COD so I can see casual players getting put off very easily. The graphics would need to be upped for the final release cause they very low res on 360 anyway.

I dunno I kinda like the beta. I hated it when I first played it but after I got used to it, it was alot of fun. It has its problems but then again it's a beta, the point of that is to find the problems and fix them. You can't make a decision on the game from just the beta

Respect to DICE for releasing a beta though, it's a risky move that will turn off all the cod players who arn't used to change who would have just bought the game if there was no beta.
