Last weekend i was playing golf and i had a 5 or 6 foot putt, i putt it and it stopped on the verge of the hole i waited about 10 to 15 seconds as there was alot of wind that day and the wind blew the ball into the hole .Was just wondering is there a certin time you have for the ball to fall or whats the rule

    Thanks

I think it's 10 seconds. As long as your not causing a delay.

It's rule 16-2, look it up on the randa website, you're allowed a reasonable amount of time to get to the hole and then 10 seconds, after that time if the ball falls into the hole you must add a one stroke penalty.
