I seem to be the only person on Boards who likes Nicolas Cage. He's actually the son of Francis Ford Coppola, but changed his name so as not to ride on the family coat-tails (according to imdb anyway, and they've never steered me wrong before). And I think Adaptation and Leaving Las Vegas more than cancel out the awfulness of Treasure Hunter or whatever the f*ck those were called. And finally on-topic, em, no. Just no. Some people be crazy.

His hair isn't nearly atrocious enough in the picture. Ergo, not Nicholas Cage. :)

    Haven't you seen twishíte?
Vampires today get up to all sorts of crazy shenanigans, it's not like the old days, lurking about in the dark, biting people. They have jobs and all sorts. It's mental!

    I think he's a great actor.
Raising arizona, stick men, leaving las vegas, lord of war, are all great films and he's great in them.
But then why wouldn't he be, he's a god damn vampire!

He may or may not be a vampire, one thing he is,without any doubt is a ****ing Mongoloid.

    I loved con air.
All actors have movie duds to be fair!

Seriously though... I like a bit of vampire fiction. But taking it seriously?!

I think N Cage must be a vampire, I can think of no other explanation. I sometimes think he is dead when he is acting.

But he has being in some great films, I don't know how he gets them, but also turkeys.

This is hardly news. He admitted it years ago.

Were Nicolas Cage a vampire, he'd have gone to an acting class at some point in his long existence. He obviously hasn't, therefore is not a vampire.
he's actually a very good actor, it depends on the role and director in so far as how OTT he'll go with his uniqueness

    Face off?

Damn it, thought I might get away with a ninja edit. He is indeed the nephew, not son, of Francis Ford Coppola. But at least it looks like Nic Cage has some fans after all, so I'm happy!

    Ghostrider
    The rock
    Gone in 60 seconds
Didn't like season of the witch but I thought he was good in it.

He does best in action roles especially as a badboy.

I thought he was great in Kickass, but I thought he was brutal in Leaving Las Vegas of which he got the gong for:confused:

Am loving the comments on the link - in particular 'Elaine' to 'donegal girl'. :D:D:D:D

    Donegal girl
It could be a relation of his, just because it looks like him, doesnt mean it is him

    Elaine Cunningham

Really? Do you think so? Do you know what, now that you mention it, I don't believe it's him either. I think you're right Donegal girl. He isn't a vampire afterall, it's probably just an ancestor. Great detective skills.

Some of the posters above are so naive.

    Classic :D

Lord of War - the part was made for Willem Dafoe or Christopher Walken. Sinister gits and only one is a werewolf.

The Rock - yes, he plays a very good solid object.

Leaving Las Vegas - well, the part calls for the vampire to be off his nut so a deserved Oscar.

I can't believe someone actually reported this. The photo looks a little like him. Millions of people have been born and died since the 1800s. If you look hard enough through old photos you'll eventually find a picture of someone who resembles someone else.

    It's an absolutely silly story.

Jesus relax will you, it is just a silly story on their entertainment page designed to give a bit of a laugh. Not everything needs to match the New York Review of Books.

Never read the New York Review of Bukes...you must be posh ;) and Cage is still the undead until proven otherwise.

Another quality news story from RTE:

    Anyone else got some evidence?

What a genius, out of the 100 billion+ humans there has ever been, he found a photo where two people looked alike.

That man really needs to lay off the pot and mushrooms.

If by vampire you mean suck the life out of every movie he has ever been in? Then yes, yes indeed.

In other news, why the hell is the TV license money spent on this 'journalists' salary?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 317 ✭✭MOSSAD

Well it would explain why he keeps getting acting jobs. There's always been something supernatural about the way people still let him makes films, despite them all being ****e.
Thought Raising Arizona was great as well as Leaving Las Vegas-good turn in Moonstruck too!

    Finally, this makes sense :pac:

I don't think it does, think the money only goes to the TV/Radio sections of RTÉ...
