An 1870s' photograph of a man bearing a strong resemblance to Nicolas Cage is on sale on eBay for $1 million. The seller claims that the Hollywood actor is a vampire. "Personally, I believe it's him and that he is some sort of walking undead / vampire, et cetera, who quickens / reinvents himself once every 75 years or so," says the Seattle-based seller. "150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult, or a talk show host."

Anyone else got some evidence?

Were Nicolas Cage a vampire, he'd have gone to an acting class at some point in his long existence. He obviously hasn't, therefore is not a vampire.

if you were a vampire living century after century... the last thing you would do is show up in Hollywood.. it would completely blow your cover..

There's a similarity but if you place cages pic beside it you'll see the differences. Ears shape, cages nose and lips are fuller, different hairline and slight difference in the eyes too.

Vampires are typically void of basic emotions (or at least expressions) and so poorly try to fake it.

LA makes sense for the discerning vampire as young wans there will give a hell of a lot more than blood to land an audition.

I can't believe someone actually reported this. The photo looks a little like him. Millions of people have been born and died since the 1800s. If you look hard enough through old photos you'll eventually find a picture of someone who resembles someone else.

It's an absolutely silly story.

If I were his agent, I'd get some kids to photoshop his face into a load of historic moments; the signing of the decelration of independance, Jesus' crucifixtion, Kennedy's assisnation. I'd then sit Cage down for a few minutes and get him to record a video, interspliced with these edited pictures, saying "Of course I'm not a vampire! That's stupid. I'm actually a time lord!"

Instant good PR by showing he's able to make fun of himself in a good way
