Filling gaps in wood flooring

What is the best product to use to fill 1 - 2 mm gaps in semi-solid 3-strip maple wood flooring where the board ends haven't quite joined together? Been looking at various wood fillers and putty but can't get a definitive answer...

You might be better off trying to get the joints sorted out rather than trying fillers. How come there are gaps?

Joints are already glued. Gaps are only in 3 or 4 places on a 40 square metre floor and aren't really noticable (unless you're the one who put down the floor).

Would something like this be up to the job?

I wouldn't put any sort of filler in the joints. The filler will never match the floor and the floor darkens with age the filler will become more noticeable. Also with the expansion and contraction of it being a wooden floor the filler will eventually become loose thus you will have spent time and money on something ineffective

Is the flooring glued together or is it quick clickl. You will not get a filler colour to suit the floor. It won't look well and show up the gaps more than when there open. If it's a click floor your can lift it and reinstall.Bit of work in it but it would be the bect solution.

Hi North West,

It's fully glued so no chance of a reinstall I'm afraid. I picked up some Ronseal pine filler so will try it on an out-of the-way spot.
