3GS keeps losing 3G signal (o2)

Hi, My 3GS is having wobbles connecting via 3G on the o2 network. Basically, I bring up safari and the 3G reception inevitably disappears, to be replaced by edge connectivity (painfully slow). If I flick the phone in and out of airport mode, when it reconnects it will go back to 3G at almost full strength and connect…

Hi,

My 3GS is having wobbles connecting via 3G on the o2 network.

Basically, I bring up safari and the 3G reception inevitably disappears, to be replaced by edge connectivity (painfully slow).

If I flick the phone in and out of airport mode, when it reconnects it will go back to 3G at almost full strength and connect speedily for maybe 20/30 seconds.

Wherein it will lose 3G again and go back to edge.

Any idea why this is happening? Any advice?

In the meantime, try reseting the network settings under settings, general, reset
Also try syncing with iTunes
