What sort of footwear is Rose wearing. Are they a special type of runner or what? I thought i seen Woods wear something like that in his lost comp.. Any ideas??

The ones he was wearing today had a navy sole but otherwise looked like the above ones.

After 2 rounds of the BMW Championship, Justin Rose is tied for 1st at (11-under) and part of his success on the links could be attributed to the footwear he’s wearing: adidas Golf’s adiSTREET a spikeless cross-over street golf shoe.

Cross-over street golf shoes are slowly beginning to catch on with players on the PGA Tour, and this week at the BMW Championship, there has been no shortage of players wearing them at Cog Hill Golf Club, with Justin Rose being one of them. Rose will be wearing the adiSTREET the rest of the week on his quest to win the BMW Championship, he wore a pair of Ashworth Cardiff street golf shoes in the opening round, and debuted the white pair of adiSTREET with green soles in the second round.

The adidas Golf adiSTREET doesn’t launch until 11/1 (sunbelt region) and 2/1/12 for the rest of the world. What do you think of cross-over street golf shoes? Trend or here to stay?

I've been eyeing up some Ecco crossover shoes for a while. Working in the industry, it's a pain having to change into golf shoes from loafers when heading out onto the course a few times each day. If I had a cent for every time I've ended up on my ass in slick soled loafers on wet grass... Would be interesting to see how the rubber notches hold up for non-golfing wear around the carpark/clubhouse.

I have the Ecco Street shoes and wear them as mostly casual shoes - too nice (and expensive) to be messing them up on a muddy golf course ;-) I wear them for quick games of pitch and putt mainly - no shoe changing required. The rubber nubs on the soles are very tough - kind of like astro turf runners, so grip is very good.

They're very comfy and the dark brown version look well in the flesh. From the pics I see of the adidas there, the Ecco's are a nicer looking shoe.

I still think that they make the Couples and Singh look like a couple of hobo's that have been dragged in off the street to play a round - suppose hence the name 'street'
