Not to be a righteous band nerd, but she plays like fifteen other instruments and co-founded the band, she only drums on a couple of tracks. Although she does hit the skins like they owe her money, to be fair.

I remember hearing this from Justin Lee Collins, so I refuse to believe it.

The answer to your question - and many others, of course - is boobs, I suspect. Bass is way easier to play comfortably if you've got boobs.
